Guest Testimonials

The house was fabulous. Quirky, homely, beautifully appointed and an excellent location. While we visited during the lockdown household restrictions so were a smaller group, I’m sure the house would be superb for a larger gathering. We had a very special time and would highly recommend !

We all had a wonderful stay in Riverside House. It is even better than it looks on the photos. Great, very large outdoor space to sit and eat and all secure for the dog. House is really well equipped. Home from home but also with interesting touches to make it feel different too. All 5 beds and bedrooms were really comfortable. Great holiday. Would love to go back one day.

The owner, Lisa, went over and above what we expected from prior holidays with Sykes. She contacted us via email and personally, we spoke on the phone as she offered her number and was keen to know that we had arrived safely and had everything that we required. She advised us that the house would be toasty and warm on our arrival, this was indeed the case. The house was welcoming and warm, this we have not encountered before. It was a pleasure to stay in this lovely house, especially as the owner was so accommodating and hospitable in a very friendly and personal manner. The house was extremely well equipped, with the extremely generous offer to use anything out of a fully stocked condiments cupboard, even dog biscuits, with the proviso to replace if you used the last. The house had a good heating and hot water supply. Thank you Lisa for a most enjoyable stay in your lovely house. We would not hesitate to repeat the experience.
